SAMANOS Michel (1876 - 1924) - [The Bride-to-be] (Wedding). Indian ink and watercolor drawing on wove paper. Signed by the artist lower right. On the left of the drawing, in pencil: "-Why don't widows wear orange blossoms / -I'll tell you tomorrow". Michel Samanos was first and foremost a humorist. These drawings appeared in numerous magazines between 1900 and 1923. 50.3 x 32.5 cm. Condition B (rare short tears and small creases on the edges of the sheet, lightly dusted).
