Famous edition of the works of the Marquis de Lassay, printed by Abbé Calabre Pérau. It contains letters, anecdotes and thoughts on religion and politics, in which the author is often cited as a precursor of Rousseau and the philosophers. A fine copy, despite minor blemishes to the covers and hinges.
