ENGLISH SCHOOL First half of the 19th century. Paintings of silhouettes of British ships under glass with maple frame (small accidents), captioned at the bottom in gold lettering. "H.M.S Easton - Monarch, flying the British flag". H. 28 - L. 36 cm. AND "H M. S Euryalus and Eastern Monarch, flying British flags". H. 22 - L. 28 cm. The frigate Euryalus, launched in 1803, took part in the Battle of Trafalgar, then in the Anglo-American Wars (1812). Provenance (according to an old printed label affixed to the reverse of the support cardboard): The Parker Gallery (Albemarle Street, London, W. I).
