CALLOT Jacques (1592 - 1635) - "La Foire de l'Impruneta" (2nd plate). Original etching. Ref: Lieure, n°478 (ii/ii). Proof of the 2nd state of 2, with Israël Silvestre's excudit, on watermarked laid paper (Lorraine cross in a rosary & Letters countermark). Coated on verso with the handwritten collector's mark of NAUDET (active 1763-circa 1830), print dealer in Paris (Lugt 1937). Margins. 42.3 x 66.8 cm for the copperplate. 45 x 69 cm per sheet. Condition B (trace of a median vertical fold, foxing on verso, a tear of approx. 8 cm in the formerly consolidated sky, a few marginal tears including a few reaching the subject, foxing, a few stains and a small lack in upper margin, slight handling marks).
