DÜRER Albrecht (1471 - 1528) - "The Prodigal Son among the pigs". c.1496. Original burin. Signed with the artist's monogram. Ref: Bartsch, no. 28. Strauss, no. 11 (d/h?). Proof on laid paper, with old ink retouching on the lower part of the subject, notably the tub, the pigs and some outlines of the figure's drapery. 24.3 x 18.9 cm. Condition B (cut to the subject, traces of old mounting and small hint of skinning on verso, small, light brown spot near the figure's left foot).
