Chased and gilded bronze "Arts and Science" set consisting of a clock and a pair of candelabras. The clock's white enamel dial with black Roman numerals is set in a temple supported by an openwork pedestal. On either side, two scrolls simulate the seating of allegories. The oval pedestal features a raised base decorated with interlacing. Toupie feet. The dial is signed RINGO FRERES PARIS. The six-light candelabra with double acanthus leaf scrolls rests on a shaft composed of an openwork urn with laurel garlands. The tripod base features Greek-style scrolls. Decorated with a ribbon of laurels and rosettes. 19th century - Louis XVI style (soiling). Dimensions. Clock Height : 39 Width : 74 Depth : 23 cm.
