LANDRY Pierre - Henry. 1809 - 1858. Two scenes of cavalry combat. 1 - The fall of the standard bearer also known as the Reprise du drapeau du Roi. Legended on the reverse in brown ink. 2 - Choc de cavalerie. Black pencil, pen and brush, black ink and gray wash (Insolated). Signed in pen and brown ink at bottom. On the reverse, a text in pen refers to the Battle of Edgehill (October 23, 1642), which opened the English Civil War between the King's and Parliament's troops. H. 25 - L. 40.5 cm.
