Jean Rivet (Etienne or Stephane Efremoff). Yvan Tsarevitch riding a white horse for eagle hunting. 1930s. Gouache on paper. 47 x 32 cm. Signed lower left. Under glass, in a frame. Stepan Feodorovitch Efremoff (1878-1942), Cossack of the Don army, painter. He fought in the guards of the Cossack regiment. In exile in France since 1920, he participated in the exhibition of animal artists at the "Mary-Elisabeth" gallery in Paris (1929). In 1932, at the Grand-Palais in Paris, during an exhibition dedicated to equestrian sports, he presented watercolors reproducing the history of the regiment of the Chevau-légers during 200 years. He illustrated the book "Les Cuirassiers de Sa Majesté dans la Grande Guerre" (Paris, 1938). He used the pseudonym Jean Rivet.Жан Ривé (Степан Ефремов). Иван-Царевич. 1930-е гг. Иллюстрировал книгу "Кирасиры Его Величества в Великую войну" (Париж, 1938).
