Large coat of arms of Ivan Feodorovich Paskevich, Count of Yerevan, Prince of Warsaw (1782-1856). About 1840. Embroidery of polychrome pearls; in its glass frame. Ivan Paskevitch participated in 1812 in many victorious battles against the French Grand Army (Smolensk, Borodino, Leipzig), and took part in the capture of Paris (1814). He crushed the Persians (1826), conquered Armenia and Yerevan (1827), fought against the Turks and subdued Dagestan (1830), took command of the Polish Army and captured Warsaw (1831), fought against the Hungarians (1849) and finally commanded the Danube Army which took part in the Crimean War against the Ottomans (1854). As a reward for his services and his contribution to the extension of the Russian Empire in all directions, the Emperor named him after two of his major victories: graf Yerevanki (Count of Yerevan) and kniaz Varchavski (Prince of Warsaw). His daughter Alexandra Ivanovna Paskevitch-Erevanski, married the aide-de-camp Pierre Alexandrovitch Balachov (1811-1845). This coat of arms presents, on a coat of ermine gathered under a princely crown, a quartered shield (Russian Empire, Paskevitch, Yerevan, Warsaw) held by a soldier and by a Cossack; the motto is: HONOR AND TRUST. За две самые крупные его победы был возведен в графское, а затем княжеское достоинство. Его дочь Александра Ивановна Паскевич-Эриванская обручилась с флигель-адъютантом Петром Александровичем Балашовым (1811-1845). Происхождение: генерал Иван Федорович Паскевич, по наследству передан семье зятя И.Ф. Паскевича П.А. Балашову, затем передан Балашовым своей крестнице Элен де Розий (?) в Санкт-Петербурге в 1873 г. (две надписи на обороте, одна ок. 1900, другая ок. 1980), французская семья до наших дней.
