Provenance: Count Vladimir Alexandrovich Sollogub (1813-1882), famous poet and writer, the closest friend of Alexander Pushkin; Princess Maria Vladimirovna Gagarina, daughter of V. Sollogub; Alexander Popov, Parisian collector (1880-1964). In his Memoirs, Count Sollogub wrote about this album, and especially about the events described in it, such as his trip to the Sollogub estate in the village of Nikolskoye, Simbirsk province, a peasant festival and a home theater. The Memoirs show that most of the drawings were made by the artist Borisoff, and that all the explanations and inscriptions were made by Vladimir Sollogub's father. The album contains four views of Pavlovsk, where the Sollogub family rented a dacha for several years. Savely Mikhailovich Borisoff (b. 1800), a student of the Academy of Fine Arts since 1809, graduated on September 16, 1821 with a first degree certificate; became a battle painter.Альбом акварелей, принадлежавший графу Владимиру Соллогубу. 1819-1822-е гг.
