To the sound of a drum, an officer with a sword leads two soldiers in an assault. After the Patriotic War of 1812, the military theme became very fashionable. To illustrate this theme, the imperial factory began to paint static scenes, often with a single character, and then quickly innovated (around 1820) by painting dynamic scenes with several subjects. The fashion continued until the reign of Nicholas I; plates made in the time of Alexander I are exceedingly rare.Военная тарелка с изображением офицеров и рядовых пехотного полка.
