The illustration by Bernard PICART and his workshop includes a portrait of the author engraved by Pierre Drevet after Joseph Vivien, a frontispiece and 24 plates out of text after Bernard Picart, De Brie, L.F. Dubourg, engraved notably by Jacob Folkema and Louis Surugue, vignettes at the head of the book and finely engraved endpapers (rubbed binding).
