PARIS - RARE 17th century VIEW - DANCKERTS J. - "PARYS". BEAUTIFUL BIRD-FLIGHT VIEW OF PARIS, engraved by JUSTUS DANCKERTS (son of Cornelis I and brother of Danker) and published in Amsterdam around 1690. Proof on laid paper, blank verso. Dutch title on the setting within an elegant ribbon, two heraldic shields on the sides, richly decorated; three columns (in Latin, Dutch and French), French legend containing 56 elements. 42 x 53 cm in copper. Condition C (left and lower margins trimmed near copperplate mark, paper weakened in several places; missing lower corner guache in tablet (writing little altered), sporadic traces of rust at top and bottom, handling marks).
