CHINA - William ALEXANDER - "A front View of the Hall of Audience of PALACE of YUEN-MIN-YUEN". c.1796. Engraved by Wilson Lowry, after a drawing by William Alexander (1767-1816). Nice proof in old colors, on wove paper, published in London. Good margins. William Alexander accompanied the first British Embassy in China as a draftsman. He stayed there from 1792 to 1794. 40 x 56 cm approximately. Condition A (good condition).
