Léon Haffner was a French painter, draftsman, and illustrator who specialized in seascapes and sailboats. Born in Paris, he discovered his passion for the sea during stays in Le Havre. In 1918, he was appointed Official Painter to the Navy thanks to the quality and precision of his works. He also illustrated numerous books on French maritime history. 49.5 x 37 cm.
