Enclosed: draft of a telegram from Denis Roche to the secretary of the Petrograd Academy of Fine Arts: "The sublime war in which Russia and France are marching so beautifully prevents me from attending your noble anniversary, but not from associating myself with your joys. New glory to the immortal foundation of Elisabeth and Catherine. Filled with gratitude, like my compatriots, by recent protest against inexpiable vandalism in Reims...". Attached: telegram.
