PREPARATORY DRAWING for the lithograph by Félix Benoist and CUVILLER entitled "Saint-Malo - Vue prise de la Chaussée de Paramé", published by Charpentier. "Located "St Malo" and annotated "Cette vue doit avoir 43 centimètres sur 27 1/2" lower left in pencil, followed by the following annotations in brown ink "Dessin à réduire et lire les notes de St Servan qui y ont aussi rapport". Further annotations in pencil to the right of the subject "St MALO / des bains, Casino, jettées de Paramé, Château, Port" then "fait" in brown ink below. Provenance: Fonds of the Charpentier workshop run by Pierre-Henri (1788-1854) and his son Henri-Désiré (1806-1883), printers and publishers based in Paris, then Nantes (from 1854). 22 x 47.8 cm.
