Large advertising map, created for a Menier Chocolate "Collection-Concours", illustrates the "Grand Circuit des Capitales". The map represents a vast territory stretching from Europe to the Far East, via North Africa and the Middle East. A dotted red route links the capitals, each marked by an emblematic monument (the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Colosseum in Rome, the Kremlin in Moscow). The map is richly decorated with drawings depicting the fauna, flora, inhabitants in traditional costumes and means of transport typical of each region. The map is flanked by its original competition borders, with numbered boxes and a "Collector's Bulletin" to fill in. Folded. 64.5 x 99 cm. A/B condition (rare short edge tears and light dusting, three small holes or tears top left, good overall condition).
