Lithographic frieze created by Nadar in 1854 depicting 250 writers and journalists, including Hugo, Vigny, Balzac, Lamartine, Sandeau, Musset, Dumas... Nadar, who depicts himself (no. 182) seated next to a sign, dedicates his Pantheon as follows: "To the gentleman I certainly regret not knowing, who on the 2nd day of the 3rd moon of the year 3607 will run around the sales like a lost dog, buying at a high price this copy, which has become impossible to find, and which he cannot do without for his great work on the historical figures of the 19th century". This plate remains the only finished lithograph, as imperial censorship forbade further publication in the name of new regulations governing portraiture. 76.8 x 104 cm.
