Shungo SEKIGUCHI (1911 - 2002) - "Corner of St Michel, Paris". 1940. Woodcut in color. Proof on Japanese paper. Titled, dated and signed lower left. Margins. Shungo Seikiguchi took part in the collective series "One Hundred Views of Greater Tokyo" in 1932. In 1935, he won a scholarship from the French government to study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. The war forced him to return to Japan in 1940, before returning to Paris after the end of the conflict. Framed piece. 39.5 x 25.5 cm for the sheet. 48 x 34 cm for the frame. Condition A (not examined outside its frame, good condition when viewed).
