All margins. The 1910 London to Manchester air race pits two aviators against each other, each trying to win an aerial challenge between London and Manchester, with a motorized "heavier than air". The challenge was first proposed by the Daily Mail newspaper in 1906. Frenchman Louis Paulhan won the £10,000 prize in April 1910. 39 x 57 cm.
