Punu mask - Gabon Punu mask characterized by a central shell hairstyle flanked by two lateral bonnets. The forehead is adorned with the checkerboard scarring typical of Punu art. Finely slanted eyes in the center of a kaolin-coated face. These masks were worn with full costume by dancers perched on stilts, during a ritual dance called Okuyi. Height: 27 cm
