MILITARIA. German Infantry. Royal-Deux-Ponts Regiment, composed of two Battalions. Livret de Revue faite à Compiègne le 25 Juillet 1769. Precious collection, partly printed, with 14 pages for each of the two battalions, and five pages for the regimental summary. Each battalion comprises a Company of Grenadiers, eight Companies of Fusiliers, a Staff and the recapitulation. At the end of the volume, the recapitulation pages list the names of all the regiment's officers. All officers' surnames and resting strength are handwritten in pen and brown ink. The in 4° format set is preserved in a red morocco binding, spine lined with fawn morocco, boards richly decorated with a wide band of fawn morocco surrounded by fillets and rich gilded lace and corner fleurons, with the title "Infanterie Allemande Régiment de Royal Deux-Ponts" stamped in gold in the center of the upper board, underlined by a fine gilded iron, inner lace, blue tabis endpapers.
