Binding by MARMIN, a Parisian bookbinder active in the second half of the 19th century, unknown to Fléty (spines faded). First edition of these two works forming a coherent and complete whole. The fine engraved illustrations, based on drawings by MOREAU Le Jeune, include three title frontispieces, three out-of-text figures, three title vignettes and three culs-de-lampe for the three volumes. Numerous pages of notated music accompany the song lyrics. At the head of volume I, a one-page in 8° L.A.S. from Laujon to one of his theater friends, in which he writes that he went "to the assembly of the Théâtre Feydeau... Cohen, 604.
