A fine copy of the very rare original French translation of the best known work of this famous German economist, supporter of the Zollverein in the German Confederation. List wrote this book in opposition to Smith's free trade and proposing not a rigid protectionism, but an economic nationalism established to protect national industry until it was sufficiently established.
