OCCULTISM. [SAINT-MARTIN Louis-Claude de, known as "The Unknown Philosopher"] Des Erreurs et de la Vérité, ou les Hommes Rappellés au Principe Universel de la Science. Edinburgh (Lyon), 1775; two volumes in 8°, 2 ff, VIIIpp, 546 pp. and 435 pp. misnumbered 345, fawn calf, spine ribbed and decorated, red morocco title and giblets, red edges. Binding of the period. Extremely rare ORIGINAL EDITION of the main work of this disciple, like Jean-Baptiste Willermoz, of Martines de Pasqually. The title page of the revival is dated 1782, date of the second edition. The copy is preserved in a strictly period binding, which presents the characteristic of a Masonic binding, i.e. the six stars placed symmetrically in the tomaison pieces, recalled by the six grains appearing in the caissons. A very nice copy.
