Bound by LOBSTEIN-LAURENCHET. Partly first edition, gathering the 15 memoirs of this work long attributed to Pierre Jurieu, Protestant theologian who died in 1713. Memoirs 5 to 15 have the date 1689 or 1690 at the end; memoirs 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 have at the end a "catalog of new books" published at that period. Long old handwritten note at the beginning of the volume. The attribution to Jurieu of these memoirs, very critical of the politics of Louis XIV, only a few years after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, is today questioned; the author would be Michel Le Vassor, who after leaving the Oratory, went to England, where he ended his days (small light stain at the bottom of the first 5 pages).
