HUNTING - Jules CHADEL (1870-1942) - "The little lion hunt", ca. 1930. Indian ink wash on Japan paper lined on laid paper, signed with the red cartouche. In Lught, Répertoire des marques de collections de dessins et d'estampes, L.562b. Clearly inspired by Rembrandt's "The Little Lion Hunt" dated 1629, it has all the dynamism and forces based on a play of light and dark exploited by Rembrandt. The master himself was inspired by an engraving by Antonio Tempesta. 22,6 x 31,4 cm. Condition A (In good condition).
