In 1866, he receives an order from François Eugène ROUSSEAU, installed in rue coquillière in Paris, "composer and editor of forms and models for ceramics and glassware" for a table service which will have to be original and innovative in order to be presented at the World Fair of 1867.For this service, Bracquemond himself drew and engraved an infinite number of plates which convinced Rousseau who then ordered the Manufacture LEBEUF MILLIET ET CIE installed in CREIL ET MONTEREAU to produce this service, which was a huge success at the 1867 World's Fair and was awarded several medals. Each element of the service is decorated with a different motif inspired by Japanese prints: birds, fish, shellfish, plants and insects. The decoration is almost always presented in a ternary composition.
