In April 1847, Roussin delivered the first lithographs of a collection named "Souvenirs de l'île Bourbon", which became after 1848 "Souvenirs de l'Île de la Réunion". The drawings represent "the most picturesque sites, churches, establishments, the main monuments of this colony, studies of trees, flowers, fruits, birds, insects, types and physiognomies with historical portraits". It is an inventory without logical order carried out according to his inspiration. Between 1847 and 1850, every month, the subscribers receive four plates, that is to say more than 140 lithographs in three years. 25 x 35 cm.
