- COOPER (Thomas). Intelligence on America. Collected by Thomas Cooper, formerly of Manchester. Translated from the English. With a map. Hambourg, Pierre-François Fauche, 1795, in-8, XX-218-74 pp. with a frontispiece engraved by Landy and a folding map, half blond basane with corners, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets, cherry-coloured title page (contemporary binding). Corners a little damaged, but a good copy.

Second printing of the only French translation of Some informations respecting America, published in 1794 at the London address. It had two editions: one in Paris (by Maradan, which does not have a frontispiece); one in Hamburg (by Fauche, same year). It is a collection of letters written by an English emigrant in favour of immigration to the New World. His anti-federalism, however, got him into trouble in his new homeland. Sabin 16616.
