Bound in contemporary style (skillful restorations to spine, hinges and corners). Unique edition of this very rare suite, composed by the painter and aquafortist Nicolas Bailly (1659-1736), son of Jacques I Bailly (1629-1693), and who had obtained, like his father, the favour of residing in the galleries of the Louvre after the latter's death. This album, composed of engravings reproduced from his own drawings, is an important iconographic source for the appearance of many places outside of Paris.
