Famous atlas by Nicolas de Fer, ordinary geographer of the King and Children of France. It was first published in eight issues, from 1690 to 1695. A copy combining maps from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions. ALL PLATES ARE ENHANCED IN COLOUR. The numbering of the plates follows the tomination; the set is thus complete up to volume VII, including the titles and introductory ff, with the exception of pl. 112. - Volume I: 2 blank ff, title, frontispiece, introduction, f. of table r°v°, 24 plates of which the 22nd is folding. - Volume II: title, introduction (coloured plate), plates 27 to 51.
