LEANDRE Charles Lucien (Champsecret 1862 Paris 1914) - "Menu, Dîner offert à Raoul Pugno par ses amis le 28 octobre 1897". Original lithograph, printed in red chalk. Ref : repeats the motif of the I.F.F. n°21, without the women's faces. Signed and dated in the plate. Proof on wove paper, countersigned in ink under the subject. The reverse side of the print shows the Menu of the dinner organized in honor of the composer, pianist, mayor and professor of the Paris Conservatory Raoul Pugno (Montrouge 1852 - 1914 Moscow). If posterity has not remembered his name as much as those of Ravel, Debussy or Offenbach, this former child prodigy, involved in the Paris Commune and love of the great Nadia Boulanger composed numerous operettas before touring both sides of the Atlantic as a concert performer. The public of the time was greatly surprised by the lightness and playfulness of his playing, which contrasted with his imposing morphology, very well represented in this portrait of Léandre. All margins. 25,1 x 32,0 cm. Condition A (Very good general condition, only the fold due to the layout of the folio is present)
