- BIZET (Georges), 1838-1875, French composer. Carmen, comic opera in four acts, from the short story by Prosper Mérimée. Paris, Choudens, n. d. ; in 8°, demi-chagrin noir. Score song and piano arranged by the Author. SEND SIGN OF THE COMPOSER on the title: " to my friend Ferrand. Georges Bizet ". A. Ferrand, friend of Bizet, wrote in pencil, on the back of the title, a long note about the direction of the music. (f. 265-266 is missing).
