DERAIN André (1880-1954). View of the old bridge of Terrasson-Lavilledieu, in the Périgord. Around 1910. Pencil drawing, signed lower right in pencil. By its cubist style, still under Cezanian influence, this drawing is close to other landscapes made by Derain in the summer of 1910 in Cagnes (where he also represented the bridge), Cadaquès and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. 50 x 61.5 cm. Provenance: on the back, stamp from the Henri Petiet collection (Lugt n°5031). Condition B (an accident in the center of the subject, skillfully restored on the back of the leaf; a short tear in the foot, also restored).
