Buisson. Margins. Bory de St-Vincent made a geographical reconnaissance voyage on board the corvette Le Géographe. He resides first in the Island of France and then in Reunion Island from August 12 to December 5, 1801 before returning to France. In 1804, he published the report of his stay under the title "Voyage dans les quatre principales îles des mer d'Afrique, Fait par ordre du gouvernement pendant les années neuf et dix de la République (1801-1802)" (Travels in the four main islands of the African seas, made by order of the government during the years nine and ten of the Republic (1801-1802)), printed by F.
