LASTEYRIE Charles Philibert, Count of (Brive-la-Gaillarde 1759 † 1849 Paris). Autograph and unpublished letters of Henri IV. Paris, circa 1816. Small collection in-folio (33.5 x 25.5 cm) containing 8 facsimile letters from Henri IV, accompanied by a portrait of the monarch drawn by Baron GÉRARD, and lithographed by Charles de Lasteyrie (Ref.: I.F.F. n°12). Prints on laid paper. Condition B/C (loose notebooks; freckles). Charles de Lasteyrie dedicated its publication to Count Élie Decazes, then Minister of the General Police. A typed letter, addressed to the latter, is attached to the lot.
