BODMER Karl (Zurich 1809 † Barbizon 1893). Untitled; Deer and Fawn. Process Count. Reunion of two proofs on thin vellum, signed in the board, trimmed to the subject and mounted on strong vellum. Ref : Beraldi n°4. Covered with the collector's stamp of Alfred II Beurdeley (Lugt n°421). Respective dimensions : 47.8 x 31 and 29.2 x 43 cm (support sheets). Condition B (a few freckles on the first proof). Set of 2 pieces. Bodmer was the most skilful master of the Comte process: "In this technique, the drawing is well traced at the point on the more or less covered plate, but it is the whites that are bitten.
