Three proofs of the 6th state out of 7, on china applied on vellum, bearing the mention "drawn after nature in Rome in 1873 & engraved with a burin by F. GAILLARD". One of these proofs is countersigned in pencil in the lower right-hand corner, on china, and bears on the back the purple collector's stamp of Léon Joseph Le Rey (Lugt n°2224). Good margins and all margins. Respectively : 63 x 45 cm (sheet, signed proof) ; 90 x 63 cm (sheet, unsigned proof). - A proof of the final state, with the address of the author, the printer, and the commentary in cursive: "Romae anno Pontificatus 28th octatisque 82".
