BERGERET Pierre-Nolasque (1782-1863). Christ descended from the cross. Around 1803. Pen lithograph after Peter Paul RUBENS. Proof on old fort vergé, printed on the presses of the lithographic printing house, 24 rue Saint-Sébastien, Paris. Reference : I.F.F. n°28. Fillet of margins. 40.9 x 28.8 cm (sheet). Condition B (dusty sheet, margins trimmed to 3 mm from the subject; a tiny tear at the right and left edges; remnants of gummed paper on the spine). One of the first pen lithographs made in France.
